Meet our instructors…
Brian Lorence currently holds the title of Kadua Guro in the Inayan System of Eskrima and has his level two medallion. He also has his fourth dan black belt in Taekwon-do. Brian grew up on a dairy farm in the heart of the Dairy State with his mom, dad, and four sisters. He enjoyed his childhood, even all of the work he had to do every day to help keep the farm running efficiently.
Through 4H Brian first experienced backpacking and canoeing, two activities he really enjoys as they put him in a place he loves to be - the great outdoors. That led him into rock climbing and mountaineering - he climbed Mt. Rainier twice, making it to the summit on his first attempt. Brian also took up percussion as a sixth grader, even spending time in college studying music along with receiving a degree in audio engineering. He and his wife are foster parents and have so far adopted two of the girls that had been placed with them.
